Today is Day 7, the last day of Knitting and Crochet Blog Week. Today’s question asks me to share with you where and how I take time out to knit.
Um, I knit pretty much anywhere I can … if I have some idle time I will pull out my knitting and knit. I usually have several projects on the go, some of which are small, simple and easily fit into my purse and some which are larger, more complicated or have charts and need to be worked on at home. I take the time as it presents itself and I don’t usually have dedicated knitting time in my day.
So, where do I knit? Let me think … in the past week, I have knit:
- At the local pool, watching kids swimming lessons.
- At the kids Tae-Kwon-Do classes.
- On the patio at home listening to the sounds of spring.
- On the patio at home listening to a knitting podcast.
- In the waiting room at the doctor’s office.
- At our local knitting guild meeting.
- In the car.
- At the kitchen table, listening to an audiobook.
- In front of the TV.
I really enjoy knitting with friends at the local coffee shop and at their homes and talk about all things fibre, pets, family, children, politics, whatever. I am looking forward to a knitting get together tomorrow to celebrate Victoria Day here in Canada with tea, sweets, and knitting.
I just want to say that I have had a fantastic time participating in Knitting and Crochet Blog Week this year. It encouraged me to try out things I have never done before and to visit other knitting and crochet blogs that I may not have found on my own. A huge thank-you to Eskimimi for coordinating this event and to all of the bloggers who visited my blog and provided their encouraging comments. I will be sure to participate next year!
